Web Hosting Performance is an independent project that provides benchmark testing and performance monitoring of web hosts. The goal is to review and boost the competition by addressing good and poor performance.

There have been cases where web hosts marketed themselves as super fast. And although they were twice as expensive as their competitors the tests revealed they performed only less than half of their competitors.

The benchmark data reflects the relative performance of the web servers, rather than variations in geographical locations or local network conditions.

Web Hosting Performance started out as a hobby project by LiteCart founder and developer T. Almroth.
